Visit the realm of Fagati and step into the world of the mythical creatures of the Hainich National Park at canopy walkway.

“In the realm of the Fagati“

The little cheeky Fagati - a distinctive mythical creature, mascot and "native" of the Hainich National Park has set itself a really great goal. As a mediator between the worlds of humans and the mythical creatures of the forest, it wants to bring everyone together at one table in order to look for ways to protect our world better and more sustainably.

It has already succeeded in convincing the forest creatures of the basically good intentions of the people. The most diverse of the peoples living in secrecy have sent representatives to the realm of the Fagati. They immediately got to work and set up their own life worlds according to their characters. As a sign of good will they are even visible for us humans and we can explore them extensively during the day! Of course, we will not find fabulous creatures. These are exclusively nocturnal and therefore sleep during the day in hiding places that cannot be found.

With combined magic powers, a very special Thingplatz was also created. On bright full moon nights, the mystic spell of the Thingplatz cancels the otherwise protective invisibility and makes everyone appear the same size. On equal terms with the representatives of the human beings, all of them discuss, plan, co-ordinate and decide together in these special nights.

But even between these special times, the Fagati does not rest. It tirelessly travels between the individual fabulous animal areas, leaving its traces ...
